Professor Paul Chatrath - ENT (Director)

Paul Chatrath is a private Consultant ENT Surgeon based in London and Essex. He completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Cambridge followed by clinical training at the London Hospital Medical College culminating in the award of MBBS with 3 distinctions and Proxime Accessit to the University of London Gold Medal. After completing higher surgical training he obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in ENT surgery including accreditation in facial plastic surgery.

He has held substantive consultant posts at Queen’s University Hospital, Essex and Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust. His specialist interests include nasal and sinus conditions, cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty and paediatric ENT problems. He has also specialized in nasal valve surgery and in minimally invasive pinnaplasty including the EarfoldTM implant. Paul balances his clinical work with his academic commitments at Canterbury Christ Church University where he is Professor of Rhinology and module lead for the MCh(ENT) Postgraduate Diploma. He has also undertaken international Charitable medical work in Burma in conjunction with other colleagues.

Dr. Rohaj Mehta - Dermatology (Director)

After having worked as a private Consultant in Dermatology for over 18 years both in the private sector and NHS I have a broad range of experience and in depth knowledge in Dermatology.
I graduated from St Bartholomew’s Medical College, University of London in 1992 (MBBS) followed by specialist training in Dermatology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

I obtained Membership and then Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2008, leading to gaining CCST and Specialist Accreditation in Dermatology.
I am passionate about Dermatology including teaching juniors doctors, nurses and private GPs as well as regularly attending and contributing to national and international Dermatology conferences to keep up to date in my specialty.

Dr. Krishna Vemulapalli (Director)

Mr Krishna Vemulapalli is a private Orthopaedic Consultant at Barking Havering & Redbridge Hospitals NHS Trust since 2007. He completed his higher surgical training at The Royal London Hospital and the Percivall Pott Rotation. He specialises in Foot and Ankle surgery and Orthopaedic surgery for Children. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University, London. 

He is passionate about teaching and was instrumental in getting the Queens Hospital ‘Training Hospital of the Year 2014’ for Orthopaedics. He also has won several awards for outstanding patient Care and Teaching including ‘Trainer of Year 2015’ and ‘Highly Commended Clinical Supervisor of the year-PGMDE-UCL partners 2016’.

Dr. Sridhar Redla (Director)

Dr Sridhar Redla is a private Consultant Radiologist and Clinical Lead for the AI Assurance Board & New Hospital Programme at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. His special interests are Musculoskeletal Imaging, Paediatric & Pelvic Imaging and Gastrointestinal Radiology. Dr Redla is currently the Honorary Secretary and has been elected VP President Elect of the British Institute of Radiology.

Dr. Sudhakar Praharaju (Director)

Dr Sudhakar Praharaju, MB BS, MD, FRCR, European Diploma in Neuro-Radiology is a private radiologist consultant based in Essex.  He currently working in Princess Alexander Hospital providing high quality services in Diagnostic Neuroradiology, Head & Neck radiology, GI radiology, Paediatric and General radiology.

 

Mr. Junaid Masood (Director)

Junaid Masood is a high-volume stone surgeon and has been a Consultant Urological Surgeon working at King George and Queens hospitals since 2019. He was previously a consultant Urological Surgeon at Barts Health and The Homerton Hospital NHS Foundation trust. Junaid graduated from Guys and St Thomas’s medical schools at the University of London. His higher urological training was in the London Deanery, and he carried out a two-year subspecialisation in the field of urinary tract stones at Barts and The Royal London Hospitals NHS Trust. He has been in a Consultant role since 2008.
 
Junaid has been instrumental in developing a state-of-the-art stone centre at BHRUT NHS Trust. He carries out PCNL (percutaneous nephrolithotomy) , flexible and rigid ureteroscopies and laser for all types of urinary tract stones. He also helped establish a new ESWL (shockwave lithotripsy) centre at King George hospital. He has an interest in metabolic evaluation of patients with urinary stones for prevention in the future. He has mentored numerous consultants in the UK in these techniques and was one of the pioneers of supine PCNL in the UK. He has also taught these techniques at numerous national and international courses.
 
Alongside his main urinary tract stone practice, he sees and treats patients with general urological conditions such as urinary tract infections, benign prostate enlargement, incontinence, peno-scrotal conditions and erectile dysfunction. 
 
Junaid has a strong academic background with over 100 peer reviewed publications and well over 250 national and international presentations. He has authored numerous book chapters and co-edited and authored a book titled “Handbook of urinary stents”. He is currently the lead for education in Urology at BHR university hospitals NHS trust
 
His current research interests include consent for surgery, and the use of metallic ureteric stents to improve the quality of life of patients who need long term urinary stents and the development of a robust urinary stent register to try and ensure timely treatment of patients with stents.
